When to Seek Local Care
Understanding when online consultation is appropriate and when you need in-person or locally regulated professionals.
The Limits of Online Consultation
Our online platform provides excellent educational, behavioral, and developmental guidance for parents. However, there are strict legal, ethical, and practical limitations to what can be achieved online across international borders.
For formal diagnosis, intensive therapy, and crisis management, you must engage with professionals in your local area.
Red Flag Guidance (Urgent Care)
Seek urgent local help or emergency services if there is:
- Risk of harm to self or others
- Abuse or neglect concerns
- Medical emergency
- Severe regression (loss of skills)
- Seizures or neurological concerns
- Suicidal statements
- Severe aggression causing immediate danger
- Sudden major behavioral change
When to Seek Local Regulated Care
You should seek out a local professional in your region for the following:
- Diagnosis: Local Pediatrician or Developmental Pediatrician
- Formal Assessment: Registered Psychologist
- Medication: Psychiatrist or Pediatrician
- Direct Therapy: Speech Therapist, Occupational Therapist
- School System Intervention: School Psychologist or Special Needs Educator (SNE)
